I was looking for a word that would actually encompass all my thoughts. One of the words that came close was purified, but still couldn't do justice to my contention. So, why BHARATified. Because BHARAT means purity to the deepest core, purity of action, purity of reaction, purity of knowledge, purity of self and purity of the entire being, that India ought to be. But why am I laying so much of stress on what ought to be and not what is, because that’s precisely the direction, India needs to head towards.
Last week all these clouds of insecurity and anxiety caused by bombs going off in Bangalore and Ahmedabad and then a score being found in Surat, actually startled me to think as to what have I been doing to help my nation counter such threats and disturbances. Practically nothing, just trying to be vigilant, and that too, to save the people around me and myself in particular. But nothing to save India from such inhuman objectives of an angry human race.
My prime contention of starting this discussion is to create a task force where I invite all of you to join and brain-storm as to how can we, the [ordinary] citizens, be instrumental in equipping the national security with the hands it requires to fight the inhuman element of our society.
I throw open the discussion, expecting the greatest ideas from all of you who feel the responsibility and are willing to shoulder its weight.
